Custodial The custodial section is responsible for the ongoing housekeeping activities at all district facilities. These activities include, but are not limited to, facility upkeep and maintenance, security, use of premise support, solid waste disposal, low-level maintenance, and emergency support.

Substitute Service

The custodial section provides substitute personnel for permanent custodians when these individuals are off due to illness, industrial accident or other anticipated absences. Substitute custodians are provided for permanent personnel taking vacation only if, in the judgment of the custodial supervisor, the absence of a substitute here clearly compromises the educational process of the affected site.

Custodial Equipment Repair and Maintenance

The custodial section provides for the repair and maintenance of all district-owned housekeeping equipment. This repair and maintenance is accomplished by the in-house small equipment repair section. Requests for custodial equipment repair should be directed to the custodial office as soon as a problem is detected.
