Carl Singer

I have been teaching English for more than 30 years, so if I don’t know how to do it by now, I’m in big trouble! I have taught at schools in Germany and Israel as well as the in the States.

I am married with two grown sons. In the daytime I work with my wife, whom I met in college, translating all kinds of things from German (my first second language) to English. At least that’s what I am supposed to do. But very often (my wife says far too often) I stop translating and play chess on the Internet instead. Though I’m not really much good at it, I am addicted to chess!

I continue to love teaching (a good deal more than chess!) because it allows me to help other people to improve their lives: and that’s the only way I can improve my own life.
