Jeanie Lundbom

My name is Jeanie, and I was born in San Francisco.  I have not always lived in California, though!  I moved many times around the United States when I was growing up with my parents and my older brother.  I went to the University of California at Berkeley, where I studied Linguistics—the study of language.  Then I got my Master’s Degree at the University of California at Davis to teach English as a Second Language.  I lived in Chicago for over 6 years, and moved back to California in 2002.  I have been teaching for 14 years now, and I love it!

I enjoy traveling and have had the opportunity to travel many times around the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.  I have also lived in Sweden and Germany.  I speak some Swedish, German, French, and Serbo-Croatian.  As you can tell, I love different languages and cultures!  That is part of what makes my job so fun.

I have one older brother, David, who is married and has two daughters.  They live in Seattle, Washington.  My mother and father move every year, and right now they are living in Hong Kong.  I especially enjoy visiting my family!
