Sally Peckenham

          My name is Sally Peckenham.  I was born in Greatfalls, Montana.  Montana is a beautiful state in the northern United States.  It is beautiful in the spring and summer, but very cold and snowy in the winter.

          My family moved to California in 1955.  I finished high school in Oakland, CA, but went to college in many different states and cities.  I studied in Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Montana.  I studied dance, English, and drama.  I loved my time at college and the interesting places I visited.

          After I graduated I taught dance and English in Los Angeles.  I also performed in theaters and choreographed dances for musicals.

          I began teaching at Loma Vista in 1982, and am very happy to continue working here. I enjoy my students and their fascinating cultures.  I especially like the challenge of teaching English.

          My dream is to go to a foreign country and learn its language and culture just like my students are doing here!
