| Task One |
BL:
Student
will locate 8 places on a school or agency map. When the assessor
shows the student a picture of a location (e.g., the library), the
student will locate it on the map and state the name (e.g., "library").
BH-IL:
Student will give directions on
how to get from place to place on a school or agency map - 8 times.
(e.g., How do I get to the office from the cafteria?)
Examples of places to locate:
- office
- classroom
- cafeteria/lunchroom
- restroom
- library
- nurse's or counselor's office
- playground
- bus stop
- student lounge
- computer learning lab

Student will write a note to school
or agency regarding an absence. The not will include 7 pieces of information.
Student will be evaluated on content, spelling, and grammar. (BL student
will fill in an absence note form which lists the 7 pieces of information
the student must fill in -e.g., date, name of student, etc. BL student
will not be evaluated on spelling or grammar.) Information may
include:
- current date
- name of student
- name of teacher
- room number
- days and dates of absence
- reason for absence
- signature
