Task Two

IL-A

After instruction and with teacher support, students will fill out a chronological resume which contains items such as personal information including job goal, personal skills, work experience, past employers, job descriptions and dates of employment.

Task Three

Job Interview - Students (BL-A) will answer 6 basic questions asked on a job interview. Students will play the role of the employee and the assessor will play the part of the employer.

Example questions:

  • Are you working now? Where?
  • What are your skills?

Students (IL-A) will answer 3 more involved job interview questions regarding their skills, ambitions, qualifications, and work history (See sample questions below). In addition, students will ask 1 question about the job.

Sample questions:

  • Tell me about your experience as a nanny.
  • Why should I hire you for this job?

All students will also be rated on 3 body language characteristics (good eye contact, good posture, no fidgeting) and 2 preparedness items (came with resume/application, had additional personal information e.g. awards, references, personal strengths)
