Bancroft School VisionThe Bancroft learning community offers inclusive and coordinated programs to educate the mind and encourage the heart and spirit of every individual. Bancroft implements a rigorous standards-based curriculum with research-based strategies and technologies that actively engage all students while examining, monitoring, and reporting student achievement data to target and sustain growth. Teaching, learning, friendships, and wellness are achieved in a safe, welcoming, and positive school atmosphere that promotes community involvement, personal responsibility, mutual respect, and appreciation for others. DescriptionBancroft Elementary is part of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, and is located in Walnut Creek, California. The site houses kindergarten through fifth grade self-contained classrooms. Twenty faculty members provide instruction to the approximately 400 Bancroft Elementary students. Among its unique programs are a highly acclaimed music program, a full slate of after-school enrichment classes, a Gifted and Talented Program, a weekly Homework Club, and a Student Council-run recycling program.
