Meet our principal, Marie Schirmer
Marie Schirmer has a long and varied history at Cambridge Elementary School. She has been the principal at Cambridge
since 2006. Prior to that she was the vice-principal, the Title I Math Specialist and a second grade teacher - all at
Cambridge! She received both her teaching and administrative credentials, as well as her Master’s degree from California
State University, East Bay.
Mrs. Schirmer brings great energy and passion to her work at Cambridge. Her belief in the capabilities and future of
the students, teachers, parents and broader community influence her leadership goals. She knows that all of her students
will achieve. To that end, she strives to bring all members of the Cambridge community together to provide a collaborative
and excellent education for all students.
When Mrs. Schirmer is not busy at Cambridge, she enjoys many other hobbies and activities. She loves to cook and bake.
She often brings treats to school to share! She also loves to fly fish and relax at the beach. When you see Mrs. Schirmer,
be sure to ask her about the last fish she caught!
