The Ray Schultz College/Career Center
The Ray Schultz College/Career Center has information to assist students and parents in the college and career selection process.
It is located in the far end of the Administrative Wing.

Colleges Visiting on Campus
College Representatives book visits in the Career Center in the Fall.
Dates and times are announced in the school bulletin and morning announcements on a regular basis.
Students may sign up to attend these presentations in the Career Center.
College Applications
In the spring, DVC comes to CVHS to administer the math and English placement tests.
Approximately one week after these tests, you may register for Counseling 105.
Counseling 105 is an Orientation to DVC with help in selection of classes.
When you have completed Counseling 105, proceed with registering for classes.
Apply to the CSU system using the online
CSU Mentor-Application Site beginning Oct. 1st
of each year.
Closing dates vary by campus but the majority close Nov. 30th. Application
Fee: $55. You must submit a separate application to each campus but by using
your password all the information from the first application will automatically
transfer to each new application.
Each CSU must receive your SAT/ACT scores directly from CollegeBoard or ACT.
To send SAT scores to multiple CSUs, select the code 3594
online
between Nov. 1st and Nov. 30th. You may apply to multiple campuses using only one application. Application Fee
$60 per campus. Each UC must receive your SAT/ACT scores directly from
CollegeBoard or ACT.
