WELCOME!
The Ed Sias Cross Country Invitational (ESI), hosted
by Campolindo & College Park High Schools, has been successfully
kicking off the prep Cross Country season in the East Bay for twenty-six
years! Hidden Valley Parks winding trails & varying terrain
create the most popular racing venue in the area. In addition to
being the official ESI course, the park has been the site for the
Tri-County Athletic League Championships, the Diablo-Foothill Athletic
League Championships, the North Coast Section Championships, &
the Golden Gate Conference Jr. College Championships.
GREAT COMPETITION: ESI annually attracts the highest level
of competition from Northern California and beyond.
SUPERIOR COURSE: The course trails will again be in excellent
condition! With its challenging terrain, unique bridges, and signature
"Finale Hill", the ESI experience should be memorable
for all athletes. Our goal is to offer a quality course, worthy
of the Sport.
We look forward to your participation in ESI 2011.
Sincerely,
Chuck Woolridge
ESI Meet Director

THE
COURSE
All
races are 2 miles. The course starts and
finishes on grass in Hidden Valley Park. In between the terrain
ranges from moderately hilly to flat, with dirt, woodchip, and asphalt
surfaces. Spectators can easily view the first and last half-mile
of the race from a single vantage point. The trails are wide enough
to accommodate races of over one hundred competitors. It is an excellent
course for both athletes and spectators!
MEET
STAFF & OFFICIALS
ESI
Meet Management is extremely proud to have USATF certified officials
& a veteran volunteer staff! We are committed to providing the
best possible competitive environment for your athletes! And because
this is the first meet of the season for most teams, we try especially

a positive introduction to our sport. CIF rules & regulations
