VG Dominate Martinez; Cordero Explodes for Double PR, Boys 3200m Relay Team Sets Record!
Francisco Cordero (06) turned heads early with a first time sub-five performance in the 6400m relay, helping his frosh soph boys teammates knock off several varsity squads. A few hours later he was at it again, finishing in 2:09.5 for 800m on his leg of the distance medley.
Also on fire were Jared Oubre (04), Mitchell Steves (04), Jeff Smith (06), and Kent Henry (04) as they won the Lepak Memorial 3200m relay in 8:13.1 for a new school record.
While the boys were burning up the oval, Amy Stephens (04) and Lauren Liscinski (05) combined for a win in the pole vault relay. This, along with an 800m relay victory that included a come from behind 25.3 split by Lizz Williams (04) helped the varsity girl's earn their second invitational championship of the season!
