VG Claim Miramonte Invite Title; Christie Hurls Discus Winner!
Anna Christie (07) led a parade of throwing PR's with her 91-6 discus toss, good enough for the individual meet championship and the first frosh soph girl's Golden Foot Mark of 2004. Other weight standouts included double personal bests for Bryan Thompson (07), India Lundy (07) and Taylor Strand (07), as well as improvements for Grace Campion (04) in shot put and Todd Strand (05) in discus.
Additional top performers at Saturday's Miramonte Invitational included frosh soph pole vault meet champion Gabby Nepomuceno (06), who moves to 5th All-Time, and triple jump ace Christina Thung (05). Her leap of 32-9 was good for second place!
On the track Ashley Cheda (05) moved to 2nd All-Time with her 46.6ce finish in the 300 hurdles while the 1600 relay team of Brian Turnbloom (05), Brian Brown (05), Jeff Rayos (05), and Kai Glover (04) finished a solid third in a season best 3:32.8ce.
