HIDDEN VALLEY PARK
This is the home course for the College Park Falcons, Hidden Valley Park and the site of the Ed Sias Invitational and the DVAL Championships. Moderately hilly, with only a few areas of truly level terrain, the course is mostly dirt trail with one 800m section of pavement and both the start and finish on grass. The uphill start bottlenecks around a tree at 400m, then follows a gradual descent through 1200m. "Finale" hill, a 100m steep and rocky climb, greets competitors a quarter mile out from the finish.

LIME RIDGE OPEN SPACE, CONCORD
The home course for Concord High School. All dirt trail, NO SHADE. Several steep hills. Starts on a narrow trail that continues on a slight decline for 1200m before a hard right turn up a very steep hill; the first in a series over the next 800m.

HAYWARD HIGH SCHOOL, HAYWARD
Not a terribly challenging course, the NCS course at Hayward High School is one of the best Championship Courses around. It has a couple of mild uphill climbs, immediately followed by downhills. It also has about a mile of grass field which can slow te time down a bit, though this can be made up for on the faster parts of the course.

WOODWARD PARK, FRESNO
The course is 5000 meters. The start and finish are on a wide grass area. The rest of the trails are hard packed dirt with a couple of short streches on asphalt. It has mild ups and downs over rolling hills with one steep short hill. Many major cross country meets have been run on this course, including Footlocker, the CIF State Meet, Clovis Invitational, and the JC State Championships.
