CPHS Peer Tutoring Info

 

What are We All About? College Park High School runs a free peer tutoring program every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The program has been structured and is run by students with the assistance and oversight by certified staff members. Snacks are provided after tutoring for all tutors and tutees.

Who can Participate? All students either attending middle school at Valley View, or College Park High School are welcome to attend.

When and Where Does it Take Place? 2:45-3:30 Every Tuesday and Thursday (during the school year) in the Learning Center at CPHS (Rooms A-1, A-2, A-4).

What Can You Expect? Personalized and effective peer tutoring via College Park students. Snacks are provided for all our hard working tutees and tutors.

Reasons to be come a tutor:

- You are interested in recieving community service hours
- You wish to gain lifelong leadership skills
- You enjoy working with other students
- You learn best through teaching
- You want to give back to the community
- You want to recieve class credits (2.5 per semester)
- You need something to put on your college application

How Can I Sign Up? Please download the participation agreement form [corresponding to your interest (tutor/tutee) and fill out the emergency card which can be found on the right side of this page.
