Diablo Community Day School serves the following types of 7th-12th grade students:

  1. Students who have been expelled
  2. Students who have been Administratively placed by MDUSD Student Services Office following referrals from: the Probation Department, MDUSD School Attendance Review Board, and/or MDUSD Positive Behavior Team

Mission Statement
Diablo Community Day School is committed to helping all students improve their attendance, academic achievement, and school behavior by providing a safe school environment which provides opportunities for counseling along with a challenging curriculum. We want our students to learn to think critically and creatively, make responsible choices, resolve differences peacefully, increase their understanding of themselves and others and be prepared to face the social challenges of the 21st century.

School Hours are 8:10 am to 3:00 pm every day.
Students are required to wear a uniform

While enrolled at Diablo Community Day School all students are expected to complete the terms of their Readmission Plan:

  • Counseling requirement--Students may be required to complete individual counseling and/or Anger Management, COPS program, Drug and Alcohol workshop, etc.
  • Community Service requirement--Amount of hours assigned varies. Students must work at non-profit agencies such as: Churches, Salvation Army, Monument Crisis Center, or Concord Food Bank.
  • Academic expectations--Students are engaged in standards based grade-level instruction and are expected to maintain a 2.0 GPA.
  • Attendance--Students are expected to have a 95% attendance rate.
  • Behavior expectations--Students must demonstrate safe and responsible behavior at all times.
