Theatre is an ensemble activity much like a team sport.  Imagine trying to play a baseball game without a catcher for the pitcher to throw to.  The game can't be played.  So, if you want to be part of a winning ensemble team you must be present, prepared, and punctual for rehearsals and performances.

ABSENCES AND TARDIES
Students should not be enrolled in Drama II, Drama, and/or Stagecraft classes if they cannot commit to the after school requirements. The performing arts is a team activity. You are letting your team down when you are absent. Absences should be rare. You will receive zero points toward your rehearsal, participation, and/or performance grade for any day that is an unexcused absence. If you will be absent on the day of a performance please notify Ms. Spanos immediately - 939-8600 X5754.

BE PREPARED
Bring your drama folder and binder reminder to class every day. Drama folder must contain study sheets, scripts, assignments, tests, etc.

GRADES
Your grade for each quarter will be based on your participation, rehearsals, performances and written work, as assigned.
Keep your GRADED PAPERWORK TO USE AS A DOUBLE CHECK.
5 Extra credit points for attending live performances (Submit program with full name & period on cover.)
Grading scale: 100% - 90% = A; 89% - 80% = B; 79% - 70% = C; 69% - 60% = D; 59% or lower = F

                                                                                                                  

Students are required to attend activities with a parent or guardian. This includes drama productions, music concerts, talent shows, etc. Students are expected to stay with the parent/guardian accompanying them and are to leave with them as well, at the conclusion of the event. Performances start at 7 PM and end at approximately 8:30 PM.
