Shore Acres has
developed an Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Response Plan.

The primary goals of crisis response are to:
Prevent a potentially chaotic situation from escalating
into a catastrophic event.
Help those affected to return, as quickly as possible,
to a normal level of functioning.
Decrease the potential long-term effects of the crisis.

Crisis Response Team includes the principal, vice
principal, school psychologist, school nurse, teachers, campus/noon
supervisors, clerical staff members, and custodian.
·
Chain of command
Principal – leader, if principal cannot assume control,
then vice principal, principal designee, lead teachers, other staff
determined by principal.

Law Enforcement Incident Command System
·
If an incident occurs requiring
involvement of multiple agencies such as police, fire, or other emergency
services, the School Crisis Team Leader will become part of Incident
Command System.
