What is the PFC?
Parent Faculty Club — a group of parents, guardians,
teachers, and school staff working together to ensure our children
have the best education possible. It is the equivalent of the PTA
your may remember from your own school days.
A non-profit organization that raises more than
$100,000 per year, the Mt. Diablo Elementary PFC helps to fund
programs and provide supplies that the school could not otherwise
afford.
This money supports our computer program and provides
teacher/instructional aides, yard duty support, curriculum
enhancement, parent educator programs, classroom supplies,
playground equipment, capital improvements such as air conditioning
and landscaping, enrichment and reading assistance programs, and
much more.
How Do I Get Involved?
We rely on volunteers, and we always need new members
to contribute ideas and help plan and put on events. There are
volunteer opportunities to match every schedule, every interest.
The PFC meets at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each
month. See the school
calendar
for actual dates. FREE babysitting is provided — there is no need to
sign up in advance.
