Alliance operates on a system of Partial Credit which means a
student may earn between 0 and 2.5 credits for each subject every quarter.
Credit is determined by the number of “Productive Periods” and the amount of
Home Work completed in each subject.
Students who earn 2 or 3 points for Work during a class period are awarded a
full Productive Period.
Students who earn 1 point for Work during a class period are awarded ˝ of a
Productive Period.
Students who earn 0 points for Work during a class period do not earn a
Productive Period.
Students at Alliance need to earn a total of 200 credits, in specific subjects,
as one requirement toward graduation.
Excess credit earned in the Core Subject Areas (e.g. English, Math) may be
applied toward the total requirement for Elective Credits.
Alliance Transcripts are generally updated each quarter and reviewed with every
student.
Students who earn at least 80% of the available credit, may request Extra Credit
to complete outside of the regular school day.
