Greetings Olympic and Alliance Families!
As summer winds down we look forward to the beginning of the 2009-2010 school
year. We welcome both returning and new families to our school community. We
anticipate a successful and dynamic school year. Our facilities are complete and
air conditioned and our new organic vegetable garden is flourishing through the
summer thanks to an automated irrigation system! Please feel free to tour our
beautiful campus during walk through or orientation.
We will continue to develop a number of academic and support programs this year,
including:
Green Technology Program focusing on computer skills, green enterprise, and
digital media
Green Industry Internships supporting students to earn academic credit while
learning in a real work environment in the field of energy/utilities.
Career Transitions Program providing basic computer and job skills training as
well as structured planning for 18 year old students transitioning to Adult
Education and college.
Increased Support Services for Alliance Program providing counseling services
and learning centers in each classroom.
Senior Project required of all seniors to prepare graduating students for career
and college.
Please discuss these opportunities with your student and learn more about our
programs and classes at orientations and school events. Your participation is
most important to the success of your student and our school. In addition to
attending regular school events, we encourage you to participate in the
following ways:
Serve on our school site council (Nominations submitted on Back to School night
