It’s almost summer…and finally the weather is warming up ! As we prepare to conclude another school year, please take note of the following:
Dress code……please refer to the dress code in your students planner…ladies, no short-shorts and no strap-revealing tops…gentlemen, no sagging….all beachwear should stay at home..thank you!
-> PTSA has begun a new, bi-weekly e-newsletter that all parents can receive. The link for signing up is on the front of this webpage. Please take advantage of this communication opportunity; we will continue to add features to this as the project develops. As of this month, I will communicate solely via the bi-weekly e-newsletter until we are able to re-design this website in the fall.
-> CST testing is almost complete…thank you to all our hard-working teachers and students. They truly ‘did their best’ as we asked…I know their efforts will be rewarded when we see the scores in the fall.
-> The Leadership class will be sponsoring a fundraiser for victims of the tsunami/earthquake in Japan. We will be ‘Jogging for Japan’ on May 19…and collecting items for the Blue Start Moms at Open House on May 18th. Details are in the e-newsletter. We appreciate your support of these worthwhile efforts
-> 8th Grade Activities…..the eighth grade class received a letter before Spring Break outlining the end-of-year activities planned, including eligibility requirements. There will be a brief promotional assembly for the class on the last day of school; details regarding times and location will be sent home to 8th grade families later in May.

May 27…Furlough Day..no school
May 30…Memorial Day…no school
May 31…Furlough Day..no school
June 2…6th Grade Awards Ceremony (tentative….details TBA)
June 3…8th Grade Bowling Party at CV Bowl, 6-9 PM
June 6…8th Grade Awards, 7 PM, MUR
June 7…7th Grade Awards Ceremony (tentative..details TBA)
June 9…Last day of School, dismissal at 12:38 PM

June 15…Final report cards mailed home
And, looking ahead to next year…..
Don’t forget the new requirements regarding the Pertussis vaccination which is required before registering for school for the 2011/2012 school year…please refer to the flyer posted on this website for details. We would appreciate receiving your childs’ proof of vaccination as soon as possible so that you can complete walk-through efficiently next August.
Solar is coming……early in September, Pine Hollow will begin its renovation to solar energy. Parking and drop off will become even more challenging during this period...please refer to the map attached for a sneak-peak into our construction-zone changes. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make these changes.
Walk-thru information will be sent home via postcard early in August. Please be sure your address is correct in our database so you receive the postcard during the summer
