Stage Stars Presents Songs and Scenes from "The Lion King"

Evening performances of "Songs and Scenes from the Lion King I & II" will run Wednesday April 17, and Thursday April 18 at 7:00 PM. Daytime performances will be held on Friday April 19th at 8:00 am and 9:50 am. All performances will be held in the Multi-Use room.

Come and enjoy this rendition of a Disney favorite performed by a very talented cast of PHE students. A special thanks to Mrs. Crandall and all the volunteers who have worked tirelessly to bring live theater and music to our Pleasant Hill community.

Reflections Art Show

The PHE PTA is proud to present the "Magic of the Moment" Reflections art show on April 23rd. Artwork from our, very talented, group of students will be on display between 6:30 and 8:00 PM in the multi-use room. Order New PHE Yearbook

Our new 2012-2013 PHE yearbook is now available to order and personalize. Every PHE yearbook will feature student, staff and around campus photos, an autograph page and include two free custom pages that allows you to personalize your individual yearbook with your child's own photos (easy drag-n-drop) and class memories! Your custom pages will not appear in any other yearbook-only yours. Cost: $20/yearbook.   Fifth grade parents please note:  This is a different yearbook from the Fifth Grade Yearbook that your child will be receiving at the end of the year. 

All customization and purchases are made online through Treering.com. TreeRing will give a portion of the yearbook cost back to PHE and plant a tree for each book printed. Go to www.treering.com/validate to create your account. Enter PHE pass code: 1013517861594048. Follow directions online to you're your custom pages. Deadline for orders and custom pages is May 10th!

Jamba Juice Fridays are Back!

Every Friday afternoon after school, you can purchase a Jamba Juice drink for only $4 in the playground area near the solar panels. A portion of the proceeds benefits PHE PTA.   First come, first served so come grab a Jamba Juice before they sell out!

If you shop Amazon.com on a regular basis or you're new to Amazon shopping, be aware that shopping with Amazon is an opportunity to make money for PHE.

Star Testing

Please help our PHE stars shine! Plan ahead. Students must get to school on time during the star testing weeks. Once a test starts, PHE can't allow late students to participate in the test. Also ensure that your student(s) receive a healthy, hearty breakfast and that they get plenty of sleep. Note: The PTA will provide a few, healthy snacks during test time. Student Information Form

Although PHE do not accept teacher requests for the new school year, parents may submit a Student Information Form describing the special needs and learning environment that they consider important for their child. The forms are available in the front office on April 12th. Forms must be returned to the office by 3:00 PM Friday, May 3rd.

On April 25th, give yourself the night off and head over to Round Table Pizza located at 1938 Oak Park Blvd to enjoy 20% off your entire purchase between 4:00 and 9:00 pm. Fifth Grade And Kindergarten Graduation Photos

PHE will be taking special graduation photos of all fifth graders and kindergarten students in a cap and gown next Wednesday, April 24th. Fifth grade and kindergarten families will receive additional information this week.

Field Day - June 12th

Summer is right around the corner and it's almost time for the school year finale that all the kids love - it's PHE Field Day on Wednesday, June 12!

Field Day is a beloved tradition at PHE that 2nd through 5th graders look forward to all year long. The students play games outside, throw water balloons and have a blast!

However, Field Day cannot happen without volunteers. Each class needs a minimum of SIX volunteers to participate. Classrooms that do not have enough parent volunteers will NOT participate. Siblings are welcome to attend!

This is a great opportunity to volunteer one last time before school gets out. The kids really love and look forward to this day. Please contact Pamela Rattary for more information or if you can help.
