Before and After School Childcare
There are two programs on or near campus that offer before and after school childcare:
Pleasant Hill Enrichment (Diane Adair Day Care)
Play and Learn School
Dianne Adair Enrichment Programs operates a licensed quality, before and after school child care, and a developmentally appropriate Pre-Kindergarten program, onsite at Pleasant Hill Elementary.
We have a wonderful staff of well trained professionals who enjoy working with children. Our main goal is to provide a safe, caring and supportive environment for children and their families.
Our school age program offers many enriching activities including: arts and crafts, sports, science, games, cooking, field trips, clubs, homework help (and incentives), or the opprotunity to just relax with a good book!
Our Pre-Kindergarten program has been developed to focus on specific skills that will ready your child for future learning. We take pride in offering low teacher to child ratios, and a well rounded child directed curriculum.
We promote positive interactions among children through conflict resolution, with a focus on being responsible, and compassionate of each others feelings, cultures and traditions.
Our Center welcomes all children who are between 4 years, 9 months and 12 years old for our school age program, and 3 years, 9 months for our Pre-Kinder Program.

Voted “Best Center of 2008” by PACE (Professional Association of Childhood Education), Play and Learn School has four programs for children as early as 18 months up to 9 years of age. These programs teach and recognize the importance of academic learning while focusing on the school’s primary goal to establish a warm and loving atmosphere for young children who must be away from their parents at an early age. Our caring staff, many of which have been with the school for over ten years, have college training in Early Childhood Education. Our hours of operation are 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday and we are a year round program.
After-school program
We provide after-school care for a limited number of children who attend
Pleasant Hill Elementary School (PHE). A staff member from Play and Learn
School will walk your child to and from PHE each day. In the after- school
program we expand on the child's already growing social-emotional, physical,
cognitive, language and creative development by providing art activities,
cooking projects, inside free play, computer and homework time and outside
playtime. Language skills and problem-solving skills are used during peer
interactions, along with respect of individual differences that make us
special. Our summer program for the school age children include field
trips, walks to the PHE playground and water play activities.
