 Dear Parents,

THE ANNUAL WALK-THRU REGISTRATION PACKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME ONLINE FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR ON THE SEQUOIA MIDDLE SCHOOL WEBSITE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 9, 2010.  The new process will save time, money and paper.  If you don’t have computer access to complete the registration forms, packets will be available starting on August 9, 2010 in the main office.

 The registration forms are available online.  Please complete all registration forms and turn in at walk-thru registration on August 17 for Camp Sequoia or August 18 for 7^th and 8^th Grade Walk-Thru.  At Walk-Thru, students will have their picture taken (all students are required to have their picture taken for their photo ID card and school records), drop off important forms, pay for PE clothes, make donations, make donations to the PFC, and obtain student schedule.

IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY REGISTER, PLEASE BRING THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW, COMPLETED AND SIGNED, TO THE GYM ON REGISTRATION DAY.

 Your child will receive his/her schedule only after we have the following:

 1.             Sequoia Middle School Emergency Form:  Complete all information on both sides of the emergency form.

2.             2010 – 2011 Walk Thru Registration Form (Sample online)

This sample worksheet will assist you in choosing your parent patrol date, purchasing yearbook, student body sticker and specific donations you would like to make.

3.             Sequoia Middle Parent Support Agreement

Sign form indicating that you have read the Sequoia Middle School Parent Support Agreement.

4.             Internet Use Agreement

Sign form indicating that you and your child have read this Agreement.

If you are unable to attend Walk-Thru Registration, you can come to the office after August 17 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 25, 2010.  The school day will be from 8:00 am until 2:35 pm except on Wednesdays when school dismisses at 1:00 pm for all students.  View our Blue / Silver block schedule that is posted online.  The first day of school will begin with a Blue Day (periods 1 through 4).

 BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

Back to School night will be held on Wednesday, September 15 from 6:45 pm to 8:55 pm. Our Back to School night program is planned to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about your child’s classes and to meet your child’s teachers. Students are asked not to attend due to space limitations.

 A general student supply list is posted online. Individual teachers will let students know specific items needed for their classes.  Students do not need to bring their PE uniform or musical instruments on the first day of school.
