Contra Costa Children’s Chorus

Contra Costa Children's Chorus - Diablo Magazine's 2012 Best Music Lesson program, is now holding placement interviews.

Learn to sing in two, three or four part harmony. Weekly theory instruction. Dr. Martin Benvenuto PhD, Julie Fischer and Nancy Linford look forward to sharing their love of choral music with you. Collaborative Creativity Happens at BandWorks Summer Camp!

For kids 8+, BandWorks award-winning Rock n’ Roll Camp is open to young beginners through advanced, older teen players. Top professional musician-instructors create a team environment while teaching kids the skills they need to play in a rock band! By the end of the week, students are rocking out in a live performance in the classroom. Locations in Orinda, Oakland, San Jose, Los Altos, San Carlos and San Rafael. Also, now offering overnight camp in Bear Valley!

Martinez Summer Camp

Fit Kids America is offering a few exciting Summer Camps. All of the camps are held at Morello Park Elementary School and run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Sign up before June 1 for only $120. After June 1st, the price is $130.

Each camp will work on teaching the fundamentals of both offensive and defense. Each day consists of specialty drills and skills development, fun activities and scrimmage at the end of the day.

Water, oranges and a camp t-shirt will be provided. There will be a 20 minute snack period, so, if you feel your child will need something more to eat, please send them with it. Extra water is always good to have as well.

Please were comfortable clothing and make sure they are wearing sunscreen. There is a lot of shade, but usually during the scrimmage, it is close to noon and they are in the sun.

Reporting Absences

You may report your child's absences as follows:
*By calling 687-1700, between 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
*By writing a note
*By e-mail

Please report your child's name, grade and teacher, date of absence, the reason for the absence and your name and relationship to the child.

District policy states that absences must be cleared within 72 hours after student returns to school. If no notification is received, the absence will be considered a truancy.
