Classroom Times                         March 15, 2013

    Events

    We will have a spring party before spring vacation. More details to follow.

    Our next field trip will be in early April. Forms are going home today.

    In Social Studies we are studying natural resources in preparation for Earth Day in April.

    In Science we are finishing up our unit on forces and magnets. Next we will study animals and will soon begin working on doing research for an animal report.

    In writing we are working on adding more details to our sentences. We are also talking about word choice and transitions between sentences.

     

     

    Reminders

    Today the trimester ends. Friday, March 29 report cards will go home. Be sure you review the report card with your student.

    It is helpful if your child’s lunchbox and jackets, etc. are labeled with their names.

Reporting Absences

You may report your child's absences as follows:
*By calling 687-1700, between 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
*By writing a note
*By e-mail

Please report your child's name, grade and teacher, date of absence, the reason for the absence and your name and relationship to the child.

District policy states that absences must be cleared within 72 hours after student returns to school. If no notification is received, the absence will be considered a truancy.
