DVDs FOR SALE: |
|
DVDs of the Jr. Choir performance of Starmaker,
including the daytime and
nighttime performances is available! Just $10 per copy
payable to the Valle Verde PTA.
Choir performance of Thriller: A Tribute to Michael
Jackson is available as well! Also $10 payable to VVPTA.
There is a box in the office where the DVDs are located.
Thank you to Mr. Abbott, the
Junior Choir, and the Valle Verde Chorus for excellent
performances! Thank you to all those who have purchased
DVDs this year. We have raised close to $500 for the
PTA.

ARE YOU MOVING THIS SUMMER? |
If
you are planning to move this summer, please be sure to
inform the school
office.
Please provide your new address and the name of the new
school, and they will be sure to send your child's school
records.

VVCC IS COLLECTING SUPPLIES: |
|
BACK
TO SCHOOL BACKPACKS AND SUPPLIES:
As
you are shopping for back to school supplies this summer,
please keep in mind that our Children's Center will be
putting together Fall backpacks for disadvantaged
children.
So, if you get a great deal on any school basics
(pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, scissors, binders,
etc.), please consider buying a few extras and donating
them for this great program. Backpacks will also be needed,
so keep your eyes open for a good deal.
TOWELS, SHEETS, and JEANS:
ALSO...they are now collecting
new/slightly used towels, sheets and jeans for people in
need. If you have any to offer, there is a collection box
back by the Director's office. Contact Jenny if you have any
questions.

MDUSD INFORMATION

Mt. Diablo Unified School District welcomes the participation of
all students, parents, and community members in all District
sponsored activites conducted on campuses or at off-site
locations. The District will work diligently to see that these
activities are not limited by physical access barriers, thereby
ensuring the opportunity for participation by all in these
activites.

WOODLANDS LAST DAY OF SCHOOL PARTY: |
Please plan to attend the Woodlands Cabana Club "Last Day
of School" party
from 12-4pm. All Valle Verde students are invited:)
Note: Children may not attend without an adult
chaperone.

PEAK MONTHLY MEETING: 6/16 |
|
Please join the PEAK Education Foundation Monthly Meeting on
6/16 at 7pm
This month's meeting will be at Sports Basement, upstairs in
the Community Room. All are welcome.

NORTHGATE VOLLEYBALL CAMP: |
Are you ready for another round of great summer volleyball
camps at Northgate High School? Designed for boys and girls
in grades 4th-12th, the camp will focus on offensive and
defensive play (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking
, digging). Plus...the camps stress TEAMWORK and technically
correct volleyball!
There are two sessions to choose from:
-Session 1: June 21-24, 28th -July 1st
-Session 2: July 6-9, 12-15
Camps will run from 10am -3pm (in 1.5 hour blocks by grade
level).

NORTHGATE BASEBALL ACADEMY: Enroll NOW |
Does your child like baseball and/or softball? Help them
play better ball by enrolling them in the Bronco Baseball
Academy. The first camp starts on 6/21,
so enroll now. Let your kids have
FUN playing with their friends while developing new
skills.
Concentrates on: pitching, catching, fielding, throwing,
hitting, and base running. Then, the kids are put in all sorts
of game situations to practice the skills!

EVOLUTION SOCCER CAMP: |
|

LANIE'S LEARNING WORKSHOP: |
As a kindergarten-8th grade teacher for 20+ years, Lainie is
passionate about using a multi-sensory approach for teaching
students to read, retain and recall information in a way
that will instill the love of learning for a lifetime.
With her Masters Degree in Education, and after publishing
an interactive multi-sensory 
book that teaches letters and sounds (while also raising 3
boys), Lainie's goal is to educate parents to help their
children develop a lifelong learning strategy for success!
Her passion is to educate teachers and parents about the
different ways children take in and process information.
Check out her workshops. The goal of which is to
show parents and teachers how to discover the road children
take to process information, and then provide strategies and
multi-sensory teaching ideas so children can experience
academic and life success!

VALLE VERDE CHILDREN'S CENTER SUMMER PROGRAM: |
|
What do your kids want to do this summer? How about
EVERYTHING! Why have the kids hanging
around the house whining "I'm bored!" You can't possibly
entertain them at home the way the Valle Verde Staff can right
here on our school campus!
Our
Valle Verde Children's Center has a program designed to make
every child happy...and, they have the staffing to keep a mom
at peace!

Special Events
- Swimming (always an option,
never forced)

WALNUT CREEK BULLDAWGS FALL BALL PROGRAM: |
The
WC Bulldawg Fall Program season runs from September 7th through
November 7th with 2 practices per week, 1-2 games per week and 1
tournament during the season for only $350!
Open for ages 9-14, optional
training is included beginning August 16th for those
interested in even MORE BASEBALL! Focused on skills training
and individualized development with a TEAM concept
Join the Bulldawgs for the 2010
Fall program and gain access to our professional and
nationally recognized coaches:

All-American & National Champion, Current DVC Head Coach,
Bulldawg Coach & Trainer

Trainers will run practices and develop the boys. Game coaches

BACK TO BASICS SUMMER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT: Sign up today |
This
program is designed to reinforce skills learned throughout this
past school year. Each four week session will include fun
interactive activities to help strengthen basic skills in
reading, writing and math. Each group will consist of 5
children.
This program will be provided by Kelli Durham and Joanna
Shelley, veteran teachers from Walnut Creek and Mt. Diablo
School Districts. Kelli Durham
comes with 16 years experience including K-8 and Special
Education. She is currently teaching at Walnut Creek
Intermediate and has three children attending within MDUSD.
Joanna comes with 8 years experience at the elementary level.
She is currently teaching at Monte Gardens Elementary.
Where: Valle Verde Day Care Center
When: One hour a week for a four week session
(Two sessions will be offered this summer)
Time: To be announced depending on enrollment
Cost: $110 per child
Deposit of $50 to hold your spot must be made two weeks prior to
first meeting. Final payment due at first session

GET ON THE BALL AT GINO'S SOCCER ACADEMY: |
Gino's
Soccer Academy (GSA) is the official soccer camp of the Walnut
Creek Soccer Club. It is run by WCSC Director of Coaching, Tom
Ginocchio, and staffed with WCSC club coaches & players (along
with current and former college coaches and players).
The academy runs 8 one-week programs throughout the summer
for kids age 4-17, starting in June and ending in August. There
are also specialty camps for advanced players, high school
players, goalkeepers, & teams to go with their general soccer
program.
Camps run half day (9-12pm) or full day (9-3pm), and each
player will receive a complete soccer kit (t-shirt, shorts and
socks), a soccer ball, water bottle, camp photo and evaluation.

August Registration Edition. If you have an article you'd like
sent out during the summer, please send it to me and I will try
to group and send your email in an appropriate 'batch.'

All flyers pertaining to student activities outside of school
